White and Gold Flowers feat. OPI My Very First Knockwurst

Hello all!  I have a lovely neutral-coloured manicure to show you today; it is inspired by a design by Nails By Mei.

I started with two coats of OPI My Very First Knockwurst, a pink-toned nude creme.  Great application for this one.

My flowers are dotted using Illamasqua Scorch for the petals and Essie Good As Gold topped with Zoya Ziv for the centres.

I filled in the empty space with smaller dots before top coating with KBShimmer Clearly On Top.  I felt like using a matte top coat so I did a coat of Essie Matte About You; I think that it gives a very nice, soft look.

I love how this manicure turned out, it's nice and neutral and the colours work so well together!

Crowstoes Muspelheim

Hello all!  I'm sure that a lot of you have seen this gorgeous polish before - it's Crowstoes Muspelheim, a purple-orange-red-yellow multichrome with gorgeous colour-shifting microglitter.

I wore one coat of Muspelheim over A England Camelot (black creme), but you could definitely wear this polish without undies as it's very opaque.

Due to the microglitter, one coat of top coat leaves the polish slightly bumpy, so go for two coats if you prefer a smoother finish.

I absolutely love this polish.  The shift is apparent in pretty much all lights and the microglitter adds an amazing fiery touch.  A+, Crowstoes!

Textured Chevrons with Zoya Carter

Hello, long time no post!  Real life's been ridiculously busy recently so unfortunately I haven't had much time to blog.

Moving on, here's a mani that I loved wearing - two coats of China Glaze Let's Groove with long, pointy chevrons in Zoya Carter.  I wore Zoya Dhara, an orange texture, a similar way back in February.

I love how this turned out!  The texture/smooth contrast is so fun and these two polishes work so well together.

Pink-to-Purple Shimmery Gradient + Stamping

Hello all!  Some more stamping to show you today, using two polishes from the April 2014 What's In-Die Box?  I always think it's cool when I see nail art using polish from the same collection, so I was very excited to try it out!

I started off with two coats of Lilypad Lacquer Siren of the Sea.  It's a really gorgeous pink with predominantly purple microglitter, and it reminds me of a brighter China Glaze Flying Dragon.  I then sponged a gradient with Glam Polish Dancing in the Moonlight (which looks absolutely gorgeous, oh my gosh).

After top coating and waiting for the gradient to dry, I stamped using Konad Special White polish with the Moyou Fairytale 06 plate.  I really love the little starfish.

China Glaze Let's Groove

Hello all!  Quick swatch for you today - this is China Glaze Let's Groove, a gorgeous deep purple shimmer polish.  It has a great formula and can be opaque in one coat, but I did two for a better wear time and to cover up any patchiness from my application.

I have a comparison post of this polish with OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest and China Glaze Cowgirl Up if you're interested!

Blue and Gold Water Marble feat. China Glaze For Audrey

My family went to an event at Tiffany & Co., so obviously I had to have a manicure that included China Glaze For Audrey!  I also wanted to do a water marble, and switch things up a bit by including a polish that wasn't a creme.

I ended up choosing Essie Find Me An Oasis and OPI Goldeneye to go with For Audrey.  I even did separate marbles for my thumbs this time, instead of being lazy and leaving them plain!

Goldeneye worked very well in the water, though I do wish that it had been a bit more dense.  Perhaps more drops would help (I used two drops of Goldeneye each time in this marble).

I really love how it turned out, I think I'll explore more glitter in my water marbles in the future!
