Holo-Creme Gradient feat. Color Club & OPI

Hello all!  I had originally planned to do an all-holo gradient, but that didn't work out - so I picked OPI Eurso Euro and sponged that over my ready base of Color Club Harp On It.

I absolutely love how this manicure turned out!  Harp On It is an amazing holo and the light/dark holo/creme contrast looked glorious.

Sunset Water Marble

Hello all!  I wore this lovely sunset water marble recently, trying a different pattern to achieve it.

I attempted the swirly-spiral technique and I think it turned out pretty well!  Of course, the spiral would be more obvious if I dipped every finger separately, but dipping four fingers at once and thumbs separately takes less time and still looks great; plus, each nail looks more unique this way.

As always, these colours worked so well together.  The spiral pattern is one I will definitely be trying again!

Glitter Gradient Jelly Sandwich

Hello all!  I decided to combine glitter gradient and jelly sandwich techniques to create this manicure.

I started with two coats of white polish, created the glitter gradient with Glam Polish Twister, then topped everything off with OPI Don't Touch My Tutu.  The jelly dulled the glitter a little and made it softer.

China Glaze Purr-fect Plum and I'm Not Lion

I really liked the look of this manicure I did with Essie Beyond Cozy, so I decided to do something similar using another fine glitter polish.

I'm wearing three coats of China Glaze I'm Not Lion, a silvery-gold glitter, on my middle two fingers with two coats of China Glaze Purr-Fect Plum on all the rest.

Gold Glitter Gradient feat. Essie Little Brown Dress and OPI Goldeneye

Hello all!  I have this gorgeous glitter gradient to show you today.

I started with two coats of Essie Little Brown Dress, a lovely chocolatey brown creme, then did the gradient with OPI Goldeneye using the polish brush as well as a makeup sponge.  I love how this turned out, gold and brown has always been a colour combination I've liked!

WingDust Collections Gilt-y Pleasure

Hello all!  I'm showcasing WingDust Collections Gilt-y Pleasure today, an absolutely amazing silver and gold leaf polish with iridescent flakies throughout.

I wore this polish over Picture Polish Bonkers.  Application was alright, I found it a bit difficult to get the desired amount of flakes on my nails without flooding everything with too much of the transparent base, so that's something to keep in mind.  Some of my nails ended up with quite a thick amount of base, but thankfully after top coat and dry time it flattened down.

I was very happy that the flakes in this polish lay down very flat (I only needed one coat of top coat), especially in comparison to my other silver leaf polish, Nail Pattern Boldness Tin Man, which is very rough.  Overall, this is a very beautiful polish and definitely worth having!

Jelly Sandwich with Rescue Beauty Lounge Fire Queen

Hello all!  I was very eager to use Rescue Beauty Lounge Fire Queen in a manicure, and I haven't done enough jelly sandwiches in my lifetime, so I combined the two.

I started off with two coats of Fire Queen, then added a coat of OPI Pirouette My Whistle (so glad that I finally have this polish!)  I finished with one more coat of Fire Queen and then top coat.

At three coats, Fire Queen still wasn't completely opaque, but the nail line was pretty well disguised.  I like how this manicure turned out; very soft and sweet, and Fire Queen truly is such a gorgeous colour.

Pretty Serious Blue Gums On Boxing Day

Hello all!  Another swatch for you, of one of my older untried polishes.  This is Pretty Serious Blue Gums On Boxing Day, a green jelly shot through with blue shimmer.  I used two coats but I really should have gone with three as it was still a bit sheer; the formula was very easy to work with, though.  It's a nice polish but I don't think I'd wear it without nail art as plain green isn't my favourite nail colour to wear.

My fingers look a little funky here - sorry about that, it was overly bright when I was taking the photos!

Rock Lolly Water Marble \ white, yellow, orange & pink

Hello all!  I have a gorgeous water marble to show you today, it reminds me of rock lollies.

I started with two coats of Sation Strumming My Nails (white creme), then water marbled with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, Zoya Thandie and OPI Shorts Story.  All the polishes worked beautifully for marbling.

I used a bit of a different technique from the 'flower' shape I've done before; I tried a design like you see on the top of mille-feuille desserts.  Here's an example on video by My Simple Little Pleasures.

I absolutely love how this manicure turned out!  The colours are amazing, the design looked fantastic and they are so bright and happy.  Everyone said my nails looked like lollies and candy.

My right hand!

Pink and Silver feat. Essie Beyond Cozy

I saw a girl in class wearing pale pink nails with a silver accent, and it looked so great that I was inspired to do a manicure of my own.

I used two coats of Misa Ripe Raspberry on my pinkies, index fingers and thumbs, and three coats of Essie Beyond Cozy on my ring and middle fingers.

Beyond Cozy is an absolutely gorgeous polish.  It's insanely sparkly and I felt that it worked so well with this manicure!  Just be careful with application, as the glitter loves to stick to your skin...

Water Marble Earth Nails \ blue & green

Hello all!  I really wanted to use China Glaze Starboard in a water marble, so I whipped up something in green and blue - after I'd completed it, I realised that it reminded me of Earth.

I started with a white base (two coats of Sation Strumming My Nails), then I used China Glaze Starboard, Sinful Colors Endless Blue and Pistache, as well as Picture Polish Swagger for this marble.

Starboard worked the best for me, formula wise, but the other polishes worked well too.  I've found that China Glaze polishes consistently work very well for water marbling.

I'm not entirely pleased with how this marble turned out - my pattern was not as good as I would have liked, and I got some weird air bubbles - but I think the colours ended up playing very well together, and it wasn't a complete disaster!

Glitterbomb Glitter Placement with Crowstoes Boat Drinks

Hello all!  This manicure is a bit of a different way (and looks more sophisticated, in my opinion) to wear a glitterbomb polish.  I've been inspired by Wug and Globe & Nail.

I started with two coats of OPI Do You Lilac It?, then went in with one coat on my middle and ring fingers with Crowstoes Boat Drinks.  Boat Drinks is a gorgeous mix of lavender and pale green glitter with a lot of circles and some shimmer as well.  On the rest of my nails, I used one of the small green circle glitters up near the cuticle.  I just used the polish base from Boat Drinks to stick it on, then top coated over it.

Boat Drinks is such a great mix of glitters in a colour combination I haven't seen a lot of, and I love how this turned out!  I'll definitely be doing this again with my other glitterbombs, as I'm fonder of an accent look rather than glitter everywhere at the moment.
